October Book Club

Our book club pick this month is “Girl Wash Your Face” by Rachel Hollis. Suzanne is our host (1013 Tall Trees Dr). See you Thursday, October 18 at 7 PM!

Remember, even if you don’t have time to read the book, this is still a great time to meet and bond with other women in the club. Plus, this month’s book is about the relationships between mothers and daughters, a topic I’m sure we all have much to say about!

Progressive Dinner

Our annual marquee event, the progressive dinner, is scheduled for June 2nd. The progressive dinner is our biggest event, as well as our last official event of for the year before we break for summer.

The theme for dinner this year is barbecue. We’ll start the night at 5:30pm at Megan’s for appetizers (1812 Tyburn Ln). Around 7pm, we will split up into four groups for dinner. Groups will be assigned to dinner hosts by our organizers. Everyone will receive the name and address of their dinner host during the appetizer course. After dinner (around 9pm), we will all meet back up at Gina’s for dessert.

The cost is $35 per couple, which covers the catering fees. Please pay by cash or a check made out to Stephanie Cooper. The event will also be BYOB, so come with a bottle of wine or your favorite 6-pack.

RSVP by May 29th.

Wine & Chat

Join us May 17th, at 7pm for this month’s wine and chat., hosted by Juliana (167 Topsfield Road).

Wine and chat is a casual evening hosted every other month by one of our members, and it’s a great, low-key way to meet other newcomers. If this is your first event or your 25th, everyone is welcome!

Movie Night

Join us Wednesday, May 23rd, for our first movie club night!  We will run it like book club, so you can watch the movie on your own time and then come to meet for a discussion.  For our first meeting we chose a movie with an ensemble cast.  We will be discussing “Burn After Reading” with Brad Pitt, George Clooney & Frances McDonald.  It’s available on Netflix and at the library so you can get your hands on it!
We are meeting at Francis’s house (1025 Tall Trees Drive) at 7pm.  We’ll be taking suggestions for next month’s movie that night so come prepared!
