September Ladies’ Night Out

Join us for Ladies Night Out in September at the Warhol Sunday, September 17th.  The exhibition on display is “Andy Warhol’s Stars of the Silver Screen”.  Discover Andy Warhol’s fascination with Hollywood, fame and stardom through the artist’s artworks and personal belongings.  This display will be leaving the Warhol this month so now is our chance to see it before it’s gone.

Sunday Hours are 12-5pm. Let’s meet at the Warhol at 1pm, that should give us enough time to see all the sights.  Perhaps when we’re done we could go out for some dinner.

September Book Club

This month’s book club is hosted by Brenda Holt de Wollman. The book is The Handmaid’s Tale by Margaret Atwood.

Looking forward to seeing everyone at my house – 1265 Star Ridge Drive – for the Sept 21, 7:30pm Book Club! Consider book club your safe place to discuss literally anything on your mind without judgement (ok, there may be some judgement) but once you have a second glass of wine, who cares! And as a bonus, no one will follow you to the bathroom. Oh yeah, and we might just discuss a book. Hope to see you there!

August Book Club

Please join us on Tuesday, August 22nd, at 7:30 at Erin Urban’s home (2663 Monterey Drive) for August’s book club meeting to discuss Rob Sheffield’s novel Turn Around Bright Eyes.

Even if (or perhaps especially if) the last thing you read was Good Night, Moon, please come for the laughter, food and drinks. I know this has been written often, but if you don’t have time to read the book please come anyway. Reading the book may be an easy way to create a common connection, but forming friendships certainly doesn’t involve required reading.
