Roll the dice!

Roll the dice! Bunco starts this month on Friday October 26. All we need is a host home. What’s required? Three tables with 4 seats (these can be card tables, kitchen table or coffee table and chairs) and soda or juice for the guests. Contact Janet Slater if you are able to be our host this month.

Bring Some Magic to A Child this Holiday Season

Salvation Army’s Treasures for Children – Bringing holiday joy to thousands of needy children during the holiday season.

Last year, the Salvation Army’s Treasures for Children campaign distributed more than 36,000 toys to needy children in the area. USC Newcomers was an important part of that, and it’s because of the kindness and warm holiday spirit of our members that we are once again participating in the campaign.

Tags that list the child’s gender and age will be available at newcomer events throughout the fall or through Julie Williams or Jean Lesogor. Gifts should be in the $15 to $25 range and should not be violent in nature. Also, the Salvation Army is asking that we avoid gift cards, and instead get actual gifts, as many of the families do not always have the means to get to the store to use the gift card. Gifts are due, UNWRAPPED, with the tag gently taped somewhere on the package, to Julie or Jean by DECEMBER 1st. You can drop them off at either location: Julie Williams’ address is 300 Alamo Drive and Jean Lesogor’s address is 279 Carmell Drive.

For more information or if you have questions, please call Julie Williams at (412) 953-0511 or Jean Lesogor at (724) 942-0607.
