We will have eight different carefully selected vendors to help make shopping easy! From pretty items like Sullivan Sparkles jewelry, Jamberry nails, Younique makeup, Perfectly Posh cleansers and soaps to great gift items like Osbourne Books, Lularoe clothing, Thirty One Gifts handbags, and Scentsy candles, it’s sure to be an easy way to shop for everyone on your list!

Friday Night 10/7 at 6pm until…

Join our USC High School Tailgate at 6pm in the high school parking lot at the top parking area near the Truxton Dr entrance.  It’s a home game against West Allegheny High School. Chili and corn bread will be provided. Bring some dessert, drinks or finger food to share. The game starts at 7:30 pm and tickets can be purchased at the door so we can sit together.  This is an “Open” event. Bring your family and invite any new neighbors or potential newcomers! Go Panthers!

Please join us on Monday, October 17, at 7:30 at Laura Lisien’s home (240 Warwick Dr) for October’s book club meeting to discuss Ruth Ware’s novel, The Woman in Cabin 10. Even if (or perhaps especially if) the last thing you read was Good Night, Moon, please come for the laughter, food and drinks. I know this has been written often, but if you don’t have time to read the book please come anyway. Reading the book may be an easy way to create a common connection, but forming friendships certainly doesn’t involve required reading.

Come one, come all to celebrate fall with a hayride and bonfire! We will take a hayride around the farm, and then enjoy a fall-inspired dinner of roasted hot dogs and s’mores at our own private bonfire. The $35 cost includes the hayride, bonfire, hot dog dinner, and s’mores. SPACE IS LIMITED (approximately 10 families), so be sure to RSVP early to secure your place on the wagon. We also ask that you bring an item or two for the benefit of the event: chips (two bags), fruit, veggies and dip, or 2-liter beverages (two bottles).

In the RSVP include the names and ages of each person attending the event along with the food item from the above list you plan on bringing.

Please note, a wait list will be created if all the slots are filled in case of cancellation, so please contact Stephanie Cooper if you would like to be put on it once all the slots are filled.

Let’s do the Time Warp again! Celebrate the Halloween season with Rocky Horror. See a performance of a medley of your favorite Rocky Horror numbers by the Junior Chamber of Commerce Players, Pittsburgh’s official Rocky Horror Picture Show floorshow cast. Then, discover the science of reanimation with our live science show, Frankenscience. Enjoy live music from local rock band Expen$e, four floors of exhibits, and cash bars!

St. Jude Walk/Run to End Childhood Cancer

Herrs Island (Waterfront Drive, Pittsburgh PA 15222

Grab your family and let’s head to the St. Jude Walk/Run. This one-mile fun run around Herrs Island is stroller friendly and combines two great loves: family and community. Additional fun will be found in the Kid Zone with painting, games, and cartooning.

The Walk/Run entry fee is $10 per participant for those ages 6+. (kiddos 5 and under are free)

Register with Team USC Newcomers on the St. Jude website..

Don’t feel obligated to raise additional funds beyond the entry fee, but if you do there are some amazing prizes available. We have resources to assist with any fundraising.
